The Feldenkrais Method® offers a gentle, evidence-informed approach to improving movement, posture, focus, and well-being through awareness and learning.

Using simple, comfortable movements—mostly done sitting or lying down—you’ll explore how you move in daily life and discover easier, more efficient ways to use your body. Rather than stretching, forcing, or “correcting” posture, Feldenkrais works with the nervous system to create lasting change.

This workshop is especially helpful for people who spend long hours sitting, studying, or working at a computer, and for anyone dealing with tension, stress, or recurring aches and pains curious about moving with more comfort, clarity, and ease

In this workshop, you will:

·        Learn how everyday habits affect posture, comfort, and energy

·        Reduce tension in the neck, back, shoulders, jaw, and hips

·        Improve ease of movement, balance, and coordination

No prior experience is needed. The workshop is gentle, non-competitive, and accessible to a wide range of bodies and fitness levels. Movements are small, slow, and guided verbally, and participants work within their own comfort range. Attendees should be able to independently go up and down a flight of stairs.

Feldenkrais Somatic Movement Workshop facilitated by Thomas Wiedmer, Feldenkrais Practitioner of Sustainable Moves takes place on Saturday 7th March from 10am to 1pm in the upstairs Studio at the Southbank Club in Bristol, Dean Lane, BS3 1DB. Cost: £40 (£35 early bird), includes access to ATM recordings post workshop. This workshop is in Hybrid format, so as well as in-person, online participation via the platform Zoom is also possible. 

Spaces are limited to keep the learning personal and supported. Further workshop dates are Saturday 13th June, Sunday 11th October.
