Based partly on the surreal ideas of the director’s 11-year-old daughter, this landmark of J-Horror follows a schoolgirl and six of her friends on a trip to visit her reclusive aunt at a remote country house. Not all is what it seems and what follows is some of the most visually inventive and bizarrely entertaining sequences in all of horror cinema.
The phrase “has to be seen to be believed” is thrown around a lot about movies. This time we mean it.
The screening will be preceded by a special music performance inspired by the film (MORE DETAILS TBC).
